The properties of our almonds, cultivar Filippo Cea
Its precious oleaginous seeds are rich in vitamins, proteins and mineral salts, such as magnesium, potassium, zinc and iron. They contain unsaturated OMEGA 3 and OMEGA 6 fatty acids and their regular consumption helps control inflammatory processes, lowers cholesterol levels and reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease.
The analysis* of 3 of our company's almond samples demonstrates a high content of tocopherol (vitamin E) which, in addition to carrying out an important antioxidant action in the human body, slows the oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids, hindering aging.
Other qualitatively and quantitatively important elements found in our almonds are the presence of riboflavin (vitamin B2) and the high content of unsatured fatty acids (oleic and linoleic), important in human nutrition to counteract cholesterol. There are also dietary fibers in large quantities compared to other types of almonds, which have an important effect on digestive function and to lessen the associated disorders. Finally, the total absence of aflatoxins B1, B2, G1 and G2 is to be noted.
